About Us
RTCNZ is a non-denominational Christian organisation aimed at helping those in the racing industry who are struggling with addiction, abuse or need help and advice in any area. Our vision is to see peoples lives restored and bring hope to those who are involved in the racing industry through helping people on the road to recovery and networking with other proven community organisations to offer a wide range of support networks. RTCNZ is also passionate about equipping people to become involved in the ministry of race track chaplaincy by educating and building peoples understanding of the issues facing those in the racing industry and the practical solutions we can offer. RTCNZ is a completely confidential, non-judgemental, compassionate organisation offering support to people of all ages, races or creeds with the love of Jesus Christ. RTCNZ was founded by the late Darren Tyquin and his wife Jill who introduced this organisation to New Zealand as a branch of the highly successful RTCA in America. The ministry is currently headed in New Zealand by Jill Tyquin and has representatives in Te Awamutu, Matamata, Levin and Christchurch.
The Team
RTCNZ is supported by people who are passionate about the racing industry, most of whom have been directly involved by working at the ground level with a vast understanding of racing, the issues surrounding it and the people associated.
